Women's Sunglasses - Style and Sun Protection

Let's face it sunglasses are not only for protecting our eyes from the sun but they are an awesome year round accessory. So whether your enjoying the bright Summer days on the water or heading to the ski slopes in the winter sunglasses are always are great option.  With so many choices how do you choose just one?

Not all sunnies are created equal.  Fashion sunglasses are what they are "fashion sunglasses". They protect your eyes from the sun, protect eyes from harmful UV rays and look stylish and cool.  Prices range from $5 - $120 depending on the brand.

Polarized sunglasses add eye protection, glare reduction, improved clarity, ability to see true color, and protect eyes from uv rays. The anti-glare technology in the lenses, which shields your eyes from the sun, has unique qualities that are very different from non-polarized lenses. Prices range from $20 - $500 depending on the brand.

How can you tell if your sunglasses are polarized?   To see whether or not your sunglasses are polarized, test the lenses by using a reflective surface, looking at a swimming pool, pond, or comparing your pair very carefully to another one.

Prescription Sunglasses: If you wear glasses you can get your sunnies with your eye prescription in them. Of course this is a little more costly depending on the frame and the lens script. Most likely a trip to the eye doctor would be needed.

2022 Trends in Sunglasses: Oh la la, we have some fun shapes this year.  If you love the big, bold styles your are in luck. This year you will be seeing some big Square shapes, Hexagon shapes and even heart shapes.
